For all the harsh bitterness that Winter's got a bad rep for, it can actually be really pretty. Even though we were so new to Denmark, we already got to experience hygge - a Danish word that roughly translates to coziness.
The house we were living in was minimalist, very much in line with the Scandinavian aesthetic.
