Ipsen & Co, Copenhagen

In keeping with the Danish aesthetic of cool, Ipsen & Co is furnished with vintage wooden tables that compliment white shearling covers over metal chairs, minimalist bare bulbs, fresh flowers and a lot of natural light.

It was a sleepy, grey Sunday and Ipsen & Co, located in Frederiksberg, presented itself as an ideal choice for a midday snack. As a warning, the cafe isn't that big but the interior is very cosy. Surely, once the weather warms up, the outdoor seating will prove to be highly sought-after. What I really enjoyed about Ipsen & Co. was the relaxed vibe about it. The quiet music wafting in the background coupled with the hushed chatter of people sitting around seemed to put me at ease.

Not to mention, Ipsen & Co. checked off all the right boxes for its lovely interior. Sleek, elegant yet unpretentious -  it struck the perfect balance between luxe and homely. One part of the aesthetic experience of the cafe was getting our drinks in delicately-printed cups. Price-wise, Ipsen & Co. won't give you the cheapest cup of Joe around, but it will give you a good quality cup. Not to mention, there's a really handy take away counter for folks who are on-the-run! Make sure you look out for their special cakes of the day - this one was a cheesecake made with superfood ingredients, which takes away some of the guilt of dessert! Definitely a good choice to chill for the day or to grab a quick coffee.
