If you know me, you'll know food markets are one of my favourite things in the world. Not only is there food - there's a lot of food. The greed mechanism starts to kick in a little which makes it hard to decide what to get, but that's why you go with friends!
Viktualienmarkt is right in the middle of the city which makes it really accessible. It had a very wide variety of food but we ended up settling for Bavarian cuisine (we're in Bavaria, after all...) Viktualien also had a great outdoor seating area which is where you could find people from all walks of life sitting down and enjoying the atmosphere. Another place I'd highly recommend going to if you're ever in Munich.
