Belgium - Brussels, Bruges, Ghent

Chocolate holds a very special place in my heart. Now, so does Belgium. The land of chocolate was a dream come true, with samples in every store (and every street lined with stores). Belgium is strict on it's chocolate production laws and requires a pretty high minimum percentage of cocoa solids, while many other countries substitute it with vegetable fat. Belgium was also the land of fries and waffles. Needless to say, we did a lot of eating. Out of the three cities, Brussels was probably my favourite. Bruges was pretty but far too touristy for my liking. Ghent was quaint but too quiet - we spent three hours there and we felt like we'd seen enough! Nevertheless, that's one more country ticked off the list!
